Application

SVETINFO equipment set designed for automated laser diode bars (LDB) and laser diode matrixes (LDM) light emission parameters measurments and durability trials.

It is possible to synchronize SVETINFO components by CAN network to construct high power solid-state laser pumping system.

Equipment set includes:

  • up to 8 LDB/LDM pumping current pulses generators SVETINFO-I 808/940 each combined with thermostabilizing cooler SVETINFO-R or SVETINFO-R-plus
  • control and synchronization unit SVETINFO-S
  • LDB/LDM light field intensity distribution registration unit SVETINFO-V

Optional:

  • dedicated PC with Ethernet 100 interface (8P8C RJ-45)
  • laser power meter with RS-232 interface

Application

The SVETINFO-I 808/940 generator provides pumping current pulses for laser diode bars (LDB) and laser diode matrices (LDM) (wavelength 808 or 940 nm) with the pulse amplitude up to 220 A forming.

Functions

The generator operates as a standalone unit or as remotely controlled by PC with at least 1 USB 2.0 free port unit.

Unified control command system allows to integrate SVETINFO-I 808/940 generator into automated LDB/LDM characteristics measurement and climatic and durability trials equipment sets.

The LDB/LDM heating by forming constant current on load is available. This mode activation and constant current magnitude settings are controllable by dedicated PC software operating in OS Windows XP, Windows Vista, Windows 7/8.x/10

 

Special functions

In generator SVETINFO-I 808/940 the output current magnitude hardware control is implemented. If output current magnitude exceeds critical level an output generator's cascade is disconnected and current pulses forming process is stopped. If generator connected to control PC with dedicated software an overload notification is shown to operator.

For noise lowering internal cooling fan speed is depends of output cascade's heatsink temperature. The fan operating at low speed if heatsink's temperature less than 40°C and switched to high speed if exceeds. The fan switches to low speed after heatsink's temperature is lower than 35°C

To prevent SVETINFO-I 808/940 generator and tested LDB/LDMs damages from power line disturbances an active power factor corrector is implemented in internal power supply.

Thermostabilized cooler for laser dode bars and matrixes
SVETINFO-R and SVETINFO-R-plus
 

Application

Thermostabilized cooler SVETINFO-R/R-plus provides mounting of laser diode bar (LDB) or matrix (LDM) package with 2 or 4 mounting holes and stabilizing it's temperature to pre-set T0 within temperature range -55 to 50°C (liquid cooling SVETINFO-R) or 0 to +50°C (air cooling SVETINFO-R-plus).

To preserve condensate formation on LDB or LDM package it is possible to inflow dried air or nitrogen into cooler's work volume. Temperature of dew point control based on work volume air humidity measurements

Cooler operates as standalone unit or with external control through CAN network. Unified command system allows to integrate cooler into automated sets for LDB/LDM characteristics measurements and climatic and durability trials.

On front panel display are shown:

  • temperature of dew point , °C
  • LDB/LDM temperature preset, °C
  • thermoelectric cooler (TEC) power consumption, V·A and heat flow direction (heating or
    cooling of LDB/LDM plate-base);
  • dried air or nitrogen flow rate

In case of humidity and flow rate sensors are disconnected «***» symbols in corresponded strings are displayed.

SVETINFO-S

Applcation

Control and synchronizing unit SVETINFO-S is a part of SVETINFO equipment set, which which is intended to use for laser diode bars (LDB) and laser diode matriсes (LDM) automated characteristics measurements.

SVETINFO-S unit provides remote control of operating modes for up to 8 SVETINFO-I 808/940 generator (connected to USB 2.0 or CAN ports of SVETINFO-S) and up to 8 LDB/LDM thermostabilized coolers SVETINFO-R/R-plus (connected to CAN ports of SVETINFO-I 808/940 generators). The connection to SVETINFO-S of up to 2 RS-232 generic LDB/LDM emission measurement external devices (i.e. produced by OPHIR) also available.

Operation modes control of devices plugged to SVETINFO-S and registered data transmission are provided through Ethernet network connection.

Application

Laser diode bars (LDB) and matrices (LDM) light intensity distribution registering unit SVETINFO-V is a part of SVETINFO equipment set, which is intended to use for LDB/LDM automated characteristics measurements.

SVETINFO-V unit provides SVETINFO-I 808/940 generator triggering synchronous with TV-matrix exposition launch and following registration of intensity in TV-frame.

For implementation of precise synchronization mode generator SVETINFO-I 808/940 and SVETINFO-V unit are connected by special cable.
